Have Your Best Morning Ever! My Tips To Have A Great Start

Today I thought I would share some key parts to my morning routine! I'm a morning person so morning time is very important to me. I need to have a routine otherwise I could end up having a bad day and/or an unproductive day. Now these tips aren't all inclusive and you might need to add in some things but these are a few steps I take to make sure I have the best morning and day that I can!

Tip 1: Water!! Drinking water first thing is so important! I know we've all heard about the importance of water a million times but it really is that important. Your body has gone all night without water so when you wake up it is time to replenish! Drinking water first thing in the morning will help wake you up, clear out toxins and get your metabolism going!

Tip 2: Eat a good breakfast! Again, we've all heard this before but skipping breakfast will wreck havoc on your day. Eating a balance breakfast will also get your metabolism going and make sure you don't binge later on in the day. You're body needs food to use as fuel to get you through your daily activities so make sure you're giving it the nutrients it needs. Even if you're not hungry at least eat a piece of fruit.

Tip 3: Stretch! I cannot stress enough how much doing a few light stretches first thing the morning will benefit your day. I have been doing this since high school and it always makes me feel so much better! I stretch my neck side to side, bend over and touch my toes, and do a mini backbend. These few stretches take maybe two minutes but they get out any kinks that built up during sleep. Stretching in the morning also helps relax you and loses any tension in your body. Here is a really great and quick five minute stretching routine I love!

Tip 4: Either lay out your outfit the night before or have an idea of your outfit in mind! How many of us have been running on time but then started running late because we couldn't pick out an outfit? I've had these moments (or have them every day lol) and I'm sure you've experienced this dilemma too. Now if you want to really be on top of things you can lay out your outfit the night before. I'm never that on top of it but what I do like to do is at least have an idea of the outfit I want to wear. That way when I head to my closet I know what I'm going to be picking out which really saves me time and stress. Look at your weather up the night before and while you're getting ready for bed picture an outfit you'd like to wear. Doing this also saves you from completely destroying your room with clothes!

Tip 5: Have an everyday makeup bag! Maybe the only makeup you own can fit into a makeup bag but mine certainly cannot. I do not say that proudly haha! A lot of us probably have bins and drawers filled with makeup but digging through all those drawers can be a huge time waster and stress you the heck out! I have a smallish makeup bag sitting on my bathroom counter with my daily essentials. This way in the morning I have what I need all contained in one area and not surrounded by excess. This prevents me from stressing out, pulling out a bunch of make up and leaving a mess which then leads to more stress. Gather up your makeup necessities and put them in a cute makeup bag and you'll be good to go!

There you have it! My top five tips for making your morning great and stress-free. If I get stressed in the morning there is no going back so I make sure to have a morning routine that I can get through smoothly. Hope you all find this helpful!
XOXO, Maddy
