Last Minute/DIY Gifts!

I know, I know I was suppose to post yesterday and I even had this post ready to go the night before but somehow the day completely got away from me!! So today I will be posting twice to make up for it! So here's the post I wrote two days ago haha!

Okay everyone Christmas is only 5 days away and Hanukkah begins in 4 days which means both holidays will be here in a blink of an eye! This year I got all my Christmas shopping done with plenty of time to spare… aka last week. Some of you probably had everything checked off your list a month ago. But then there are a few of you who have put all of your shopping off till now but have no fear this post if to help you! I put together a list of some last minute or DIY gift ideas  for all you procrastinators (aka my boyfriend haha).

Everyone likes cookies, at least the majority of people, so throw together a cookie in a jar and you’ll probably be able to please a lot of loved ones on your list! This is a great, easy and quick, gift that can be given to anyone no matter who they are. I also love little gifts like this for people who you feel you should get something but don’t have a close enough relationship to get them an actual present. Does that make sense? I’m thinking your bf/gf’s parents or grandparents. Here is a DIY guide on Lauren Conrad’s website.

(DIY) Scent Diffuser or Candle! In Lauren Conrad’s book Celebrate (I talk about her a lot I know but can’t help it because I’m obsessed) she mentions that a good host/hostess gift to give is something they can eat, drink or burn. This rule is great for holiday parties you may be going to but I also find this rule helpful for gifts you need to get for anyone. For a white elephant party this would be great or if you’re giving to a couple where the present needs to be small and neutral. Here is a great DIY scent diffuser tutorial on (again) Lauren Conrad’s website!

A gift card to their favorite restaurant! I feel like gift cards get a bad rap for being impersonal but if you know someone who is a big foodie or is obsessed with one restaurant give them a gift card and it won’t be impersonal at all. They will probably be spending money there anyways so you might as well help this person out.

A scarf, gloves or hat! This is a great last minute gift because you can pick up one or all of these things at just about in store in town. Also, they are super easy gifts to toss in a bag and call it good. Depending on the person you can pick out an item in their favorite colors to make it more personal!

Box of chocolate! This gift is along the same lines as the candle/scent diffuser gift idea; give something you can eat, drink or burn. This time of year a lot of companies are putting out holiday chocolate boxes which makes this gift easy to pick up! Again, this gift is neutral and can go to anyone. Also, like the cookie jar this is a great gift for people you feel you need to give something too but not something big enough that would make them feel uncomfortable, ya know what I mean? I’m sure ya do haha!

There ya go guys! 5 last minute/DIY gifts that can be easily put together yet still be personal to the person you’re giving too. I’m personally giving multiple of these gifts this year because these ideas really do make excellent gifts! Hope you all are enjoying the holidays and aren’t stressed out of your minds!
