TRYING GLUTEN FREE AND DAIRY FREE

This post is a little different from anything I've done before but I figured why not share it with you all!? So to start off I'll give you a little back story. I've always been very into nutrition and healthy but lately I've fallen very off the band wagon. I am not allergic to dairy but definitely dairy sensitive but I've eaten dairy just about every day recently which I can feel totally feel the negative affects. Now I know gluten can be controversial but I've been downing gluten like it's going out of style and I believe everything in moderation. Basically I NEED to cut out dairy and I want to see how my body reacts to be gluten free. I'm not sure how long I'll be cutting out gluten but that is what I plan on documenting here! Over the next few weeks I will give you all updates on how my body has/hasn't changed inside and out!

**Just want to point out again that I'm just doing this because of curiosity. You do not need to be gluten and dairy free to be healthy.***

I think that cutting out certain things that are a large part of our diet can be very daunting so I thought to start this off I would share what my meals will be this week. I think we all know that Pinterest is amazing so I highly recommend checking it out for LOTS of food inspiration! I should preface this by saying I'm making food for just me and I tend to like to repeat meals. Here is a lay out of what I'll be eating this week:

Breakfast:
1. Yogurt with Kashi Granola and fruit
2. Eggs and Toast (Rudi Bread) with Earth Balance Dairy Free Butter

Lunch:
1. Quinoa Salad (I won't be using collard greens instead I'll be using Trader Joes Gluten Free Tortillas)
2. Paleo Whole30 Chicken Salad (I'll be putting this on a bed of spinach)

Dinner:
1. Sweet and Sour Chicken with Brown Rice and Broccoli (I bought sweet and sour sauce and plan on cooking the chicken in the sauce)
2. Lemon Tuna Olive Oil Pasta

Snacks/Dessert:
1. Apples and Peanut Butter
2. Z Bars
3. Smoothie (frozen berries, spinach, OJ, maybe a little plant based protein powder)
4. Coconut Oil No Bake Cookies

Hope you all are so excited for this little mini series! Let me know below if you have any dietary restrictions!
XOXO, Maddy
