Let's Transition: Summer to Fall

Happy Saturday everyone! I apologize for not posting this yesterday but yesterday was my big move day where we moved about 95% of things so it was crazy/hectic/tiring. I still wanted to post 5 times this week so here we are! Also, I did notice that at the beginning of the week I said this week's posts might be a little short and they really haven't so I have to say I'm proud of myself (humble brag lol)!

Today I wanted to share some pieces I want to pick up for the upcoming few months; these next few months are kind of a transition time between seasons. It still will be fairly hot on certain days but it will start to cool down that being said, personally, I don't feel ready to whip out the boots and sweaters. Like I said these are items I'm considering of adding to my wardrobe because I don't want to continue buying super summery pieces but, again, I'm not ready to purchase sweaters and such.

How cute are those sneakers!? I love the color way I featured above but they come in many combos and I'm having a hard time deciding! I think a sneaker is SUCH a good transition shoe. A sneaker is perfect when a sandal seems way too summery but a boot would have your feet burning up. I also love buying a sneaker with a twist; last fall I bought the Adidas that everyone has (you know what I'm talking about lol) but I got it with gold stripes. Having a classic shoe with a slight twist adds something different to your outfit without trying.

Also, can you tell I love blue?? Blue isn't my favorite color (pink is) but I have to say I tend to wear a whole heck ton of it. I'm not sure why but I always gravitate towards blue pieces. The blue shirt dress and long sleeve will be easy as pie pieces to throw on when I'm not sure what to wear but I want to look put together. I stumbled upon the blue leggings randomly and thought omg I have to have those! They look super comfy but also have a little something different to them which I'm sure you've gathered I love ha!

Lastly, red is a big trend for fall and this Free People dress is on sale as part of the Nordstrom Anni sale! Again, a super easy piece to throw on with white sneakers, booties or flats. When I saw this checked skirt on The Reformation my jaw dropped. I know... dramatic but I think it is one of those items that will make you look trendy and chic but is so simple and to me it had a Italian feel which is ALWAYS chic! Okay lastly for real!! I know I've rambled A LOT but I really wanted to expand on each piece! I LOVE this white top from Revolve. It has a long sleeve for chillier transition days but it could easily be paired with a short or jean so you can wear it all fall long.

Wowza I was not planning on writing this much... but like I said I wanted to explain why I chose to put these pieces together! I hope you all enjoyed this longer post and got some transition piece ideas!!

XOXO, Maddy
