Beauty Counter Review: Skincare

Shop This Post: Cleanser // Moisturizer // Eye Cream

Hey everyone!! I'm very excited to share this post with you all (ps this isn't sponsored!!)! Today I'm reviewing a few Beauty Counter skincare products that I've been using for a few weeks now; on Friday I'll be sharing my thoughts on some of their makeup products I've also been using.

My mom mentioned Beauty Counter a while ago and actually gave me one of their masks to try (which I love) but didn't' look further into the brand until I heard Jenna Colgrove from Visions of Vogue reiterate that it is a safe beauty brand. If you've been reading my blog for a bit you know safe products, beauty in particular, are very important to me. The amount of unsafe chemicals that are in our beauty products is honestly disgusting. Now don't get me wrong I'm not perfect I still use products that don't have the best of ingredients but bit by bit I'm trying to work more safe products into my routine.

Overall I have to say I have noticed a big change in my skin since using these products; I was very hesitant that these skincare products would do anything special but I was proved wrong. Since using these products my skin has looked so much healthier and felt so much healthier. I think cutting out products with God knows what chemicals in them has really improved my skin. The specific products I've been using are: nourishing cream cleanser, nourishing eye cream and the adaptive moisture lotion. Also, I have normal to dry skin, in the winter my skin gets extremely dry and flaky and I don't break out too often. Now onto the reviews of each product!

Nourishing Cream Cleanser: This cleanser is very creamy and feels hydrating. I take off my makeup with a makeup wipe and any residue is taken off with this cleanser. After washing my skin doesn't feel stripped or overly tight which is so nice for my dry skin. It sounds cheesy but this cleanser really does feel nourishing; my skin feels soft after washing and while washing it feels very gentle on my skin.

Nourishing Eye Cream: I should start off with saying that I don't really struggle with bag or dark circles under my eyes so when looking for an eye cream I don't need help in that area. What I do deal with under and on top of my eyes is extreme dryness. So I can't say if this eye cream gets rid of dark circles or bag and I don't think that's what it's for. This eye cream has helped keep my eye area well moisturized and I love that I can use it both day AND night.

Adaptive Moisture Lotion: Okay so this moisturizer I was SOOO hesitant to try and see if it really did work. This lotion claims to be lightweight yet adapt hydration levels based on the environment around you (paraphrased the description lol). While I picked this moisturizer was because it was the only one you can use day and night; all of Beauty Counter's other lotions were designated for day or night which I didn't want two moisturizers. Anyways, hearing lightweight made me nervous because like I said I have very dry skin in the colder months and I honestly didn't believe that their adapting technology would work. Annnddd I was proved wrong! Now I still have to see how this guy works in the dead of winter but so far so good! It is lightweight so you don't feel like you globbed on a pound of moisturizer yet my skin has yet to feel dehydrated during the day. This moisturizer is probably my fave product because it really has adapted to the constantly changing weather here in CO!

Wow I had a lot to say about the moisturizer haha! It feels kinda too good to be true to say I seriously LOVE all these products but I honestly do. I have struggled for a while now to find a solid skincare routine and I'm happy I've found one that also doesn't have unsafe chemicals in it. If you have any questions about any of these products let me know!

XOXO, Maddy
