5 Yoga Poses To Detox Your Body



I love yoga. I fell in love with yoga when I was in late middle school, that was when I did my first class. Yoga is so beneficial for the body; yoga helps with strength, flexibility, bone health, boosts immunity and I could go on and on! See more benefits of yoga here. Not only is yoga amazing for your physical body but it is INCREDIBLE for your mental health as well. While I love doing yoga as a workout I think I like it the most for how it benefits my mental and emotional well being. Now let me preface this post by saying I'm no yoga expert not by any means. I have been doing yoga for many years and before this post did some research, I especially loved this post and this one. Through my own practice and the research that I did I found some commonalities when it came to yoga poses for detoxing. For more information check out the articles I linked above!

These are simple yoga poses that will assist you in detoxing your body, both mental and physical. Personally, I hold each pose for 30-ish seconds depending on how my body is feeling that day and in that particular pose. ALWAYS listen to you body and ease into and out of each pose gently! Oh and I probably am not using proper names for these poses.

1. Wide legged forward bend


2. Revolved chair pose


3. Plow pose 


4. Seated spine twist 


5. Locust
