How To: Brunch On a Budget

Okay, so this post should probably be sponsored by Trader Joe's and Target (hit me up guys!) because that is how I was able to host a brunch on a budget. Hosting get-together's like these can add up especially if you're like Kyle and I and don't have all the bake wear/cook wear you need so you have to go to Target and stock up. I love hosting because I love bringing people together so I wanted to share how easy and budget friendly this brunch was. Now if I had a house and a bigger budget I would go ALL OUT, I can't wait for the day but until then little get-together's will have to do!

Kyle and I were also really busy this weekend but planned this brunch last week so I needed things to come together easily and efficiently. I went to Target and picked up this set of serving platters and these napkins. Oh and also these champagne glasses because mimosas... Simple and versatile. Not shown in these pictures are the scrambled eggs because I left those in the skillet to keep warm. I set out water glasses and the champagne glasses with the champagne, OJ, and water. Kyle also made coffee in the coffee pot. I set out plates, napkins and forks along with the food so people could serve themselves. I almost forgot about the pumpkins!! These baby pumpkins were 69 cents at Trader Joe's!

Now onto the best part food! Here's a list of the food that was served (keep in mind this was a small gathering):

* TJ's cinnamon roles
* Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese
* Mini pumpkin chocolate chip muffins
* Fruit salad with powered sugar and mini marshmallows
* Mimosas

I got all the ingredients at Trader Joe's except for the powered sugar and mini marshmallows! All ingredients were super affordable and easy to pick up for the brunch. I made the muffins one day in advance and then 20 minutes till guests arrived I put together the cinnamon roles, scrambled eggs and fruit salad.

XOXO, Maddy
